and applications The cable has been designed for power and signalling mobile connections, under severe mechanical stresses (tensile strength and torsion), for heavy-duty conditions: all weather conditions, abrasion and crushing. The cable is typically used in cable winding reels for harbour cranes, container cranes, conveyors, handling machines and mining & tunnelling equipment. The special value of the cable consists in the special design with polyurethane outer sheath, that permits to reduce weight and size (diameter) of the cable: therefore the required power is lower, permitting the total cost reduction of the equipment reeling drum+cable.. Being halogen-free, unlike the traditional rubber sheathed cables, it can be used for handling equipment in closed rooms.
